Jean Ornellas, 84, entered into rest on Friday, May 20, 2011 in Manteca. She was born Nov. 11, 1926 in Alabama. She is preceded in death by her husband the late Frank Ornellas as well as her brother Clark Howell Williams.

She leaves behind her loving children; Kathleen Ann Butler of San Francisco and Floyd Douglas Turner of Ukiah. She was blessed by 6 grandchildren; William, Laconia, Loree, Austin, Travis and Alison Jane. In addition Jean has 3 great-grandbabies.

Jean loved her family dearly, always looking forward to time together. Gardening was one of her favorite pastimes as she spent hours making her garden look immaculate. Jean was a faithful Oakland A’s fan, never missing an intense game. She was a member of the Widow’s Club in the Manteca area where she found herself at peace in the company of women who shared her same grief. Jean will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed.

Arrangements for Mrs. Ornellas are under the direction of P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, May 24, 2011 from 1 to 5 p.m. A service will be held in her honor on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 11 a.m. Both held in the PL Fry chapel.
