Jess passed away suddenly with his family by his side on July 16, 2016 at Doctor’s Hospital in Modesto at the age of 64.
   Jess was a resident of Manteca. He was a booking agent for various musical groups here in the valley for over 35 years. In his earlier life, he and his sister Annie and cousin Phil formed their first band, later they were know as Cold Rage and then in the late 70’s the group was known as Natural High. He played bass guitar and lead guitar. He loved the music business, and stayed connected with many musicians through the agency.
He loved spending time with his family, especially with his nephews David and Jonathan.    He is survived by his sisters Annie Schwind of Modesto, Sylvia Cushman her husband David, brothers David Vielma of Stockton and Philip Vielma of San Francisco, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins.
   He was preceded in death by his wife Mary, parents Jess and Mary Vielma.
   There will be a celebration of life for Jess Thursday, July 28, at 11:00 a.m. at David Park Church of Christ, 901 W Rumble Rd., Modesto, CA
