Lois Jane Ries, 77, passed away on November 01, 2020 in Manteca, Calif. Lois was born to Ernest Locke and Helen Morrow in Picher, Oklahoma on February 26, 1943. Her family later relocated to California, residing in the Central Valley. She married Charlie Ries Sr in 1961. They had 6 children, raising them in and around the Manteca area.
Lois worked at Care West in Manteca as a CNA for over 10 years. She found this profession to be emotionally rewarding. It gave her great pleasure knowing she had a chance to impact the lives of people based on the care she was providing.
She is survived by her brothers George and Roscoe Locke, and 5 of her 6 children - Charles Ries Jr, Rose Smith (Ries), David, Robert, and Tracy Ries. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, 16 grandchildren, and more than 30 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and son Rodney Ries, her parents, and sisters Juanita Locke, Joyce Arp, and Marjorie Dengerink.
