Louis Leon Compton, 94, peacefully entered into rest on October 14, 2016 in Modesto, California. He was born on June 3, 1922 in Trousdale, Oklahoma to his parents Vernie and John Compton.        
   He now joins his parents, his loving wife of 63 years, Mary P. Sebo Compton, along with his siblings Dale Altus, Charles Franklin, Gustie Milton, Jerry Buel, and John Thaddus in heaven.
   Louis leaves behind his loving children Dolores Paulette (Keith) Kizer of Ripon, California and Everett Leon (Melody) Compton of Denair, California, his grandchildren Donald Hawkins, Daniel Hawkins, Keisha Vandeveer, Joy (Billy) Gonzales, Jamie (Jeff) Beeson and Everett Leon Compton Jr. and 12 great grandchildren.
   Louis was a member of the Northern California Bakery Drivers through the General Teamsters Local 386 for about 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, gardening, and especially loved his SF Giants. The last 10 years of his life he enjoyed having lunch at the Ripon Senior Center.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Louis will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.
   A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 26th at 11a.m. at The Chesapeake Landing Club House, in Ripon.
