Lowell Grissom passed away on July 25, 2025, in French Camp, California. He was born on August 22, 1945, to the late Albert and Mabel Grissom.
Lowell graduated from Manteca High School in 1964, where he met his beloved wife, Margarette. They shared 60 years of marriage together. Following high school, he attended Delta College and went on to play football at Arizona State University on a scholarship. He later worked as a Millwright for 50 years with Local Union 102, enjoying his trade with diligence and pride, flair and good humor.
As a dedicated Jehovah’s Witness for 55 years, Lowell lived a life guided by faith and service. He was a proclaimer of God’s Kingdom and was known as a “Doer of Deeds and Purveyor of Goods.” Lowell was willing to lend a hand and help those around him, and was someone others could always count on. His thoughtfulness, strong work ethic, and generous spirit made him a cherished role model to many.
Lowell had generations of nephews and nieces, and was so happy to be called “Uncle Lowell” by many many others. Lowell is survived by his wife, Margarette. He was the last two pass away of the six Grissom siblings.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall located at 7960 S. Ponderosa Street, French Camp, CA 95231
