Margaret “Peggy” Slater
September 19, 1941-June 28, 2013

   Born Margaret Gallagher to Herbert and Elizabeth in Prescott, Ontario, Canada on September 19, 1941 passed away suddenly on June 28, 2013.
   Peggy was a loving mother to Sharon Oberman (Henry) and Scott Slater (Ivania) and adoring grandmother to Caitlin and Spencer. 
   She is preceded in death by her parents and younger brother Joe Gallagher. 
   She is survived by her brothers Pat, Tim, Mike, and Seamus. 
   Peggy moved to California from New York and worked as a registered nurse for over 35 years and had many nieces and nephews.  She was president of the California Nurses Association for years and volunteered her time and talents to many organizations during her lifetime. Peggy was a social person with a wonderful sense of humor and who loved people.  She will be missed by all who knew her.
