Passed away peacefully in Manteca, CA at the age of 96.
   Survived by her son Joseph Nunes of Wilton, CA and her dedicated loving friends Sharmaine Mendes and Art Lucas of Manteca.
   Marie was preceded in death by her husband Joe Nunes, parents Joe and Ana Borges of Turlock, sisters Eva Borges, Elvira House, brother Joseph Borges.
   She graduated from Manteca High in 1940 and from College of the Pacific in 1963.
   She taught at Collegeville School for six years and Sequoia School, in Manteca for 18 years.
   She was a memeber of St. Anthony’s Church and  belonged to many Portuguese organizations and other clubs.  She enjoyed bowling, traveling.
   Private interment is at St. John’s Cemetery.
