Mary DiMaggio, 70, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, in Palo Alto, at Stanford Hospital.  She was born on April 20, 1944, in Kansas to the late William and Audrey Tenhaeff.
   Mary leaves behind her loving husband and best friend, Horace DiMaggio of Manteca.  Her children are: Jeana Witmer, Milan “Butch” Thurlow , son in law Tony, and daughter in law Shelly Thurlow.  Mary was blessed with four grandchildren: Alexandra Witmer, Alicia Witmer, Brittani Thurlow and Blake Thurlow.  Mary has two surviving siblings, Sue Cumming of Chico, and Lynda Borchard of Las Vegas.
   Mary was a Salinas and San Jose resident prior to making her home in Manteca.  She worked in the electronics industry for over 25 years as a fabricator and finally in customer relations.  Mary was passionate about everything she would set her mind to from gardening, hunting, her love for the outdoors and belly dancing.  Her primary passion was art as she was proficient in the use of multiple mediums.  Mary’s primary love of art was china painting which she won multiple awards for and became an accomplished teacher.  Mary lived life fully, never meeting a stranger, she was accepting and non-judgmental.  Mary loved her family immensely.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.  She may have left this earth but her spirit will forever remain.
   P.L. Fry is honored to serve the DiMaggio family.   Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10, 2014,  from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., at P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca, California.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014, at 10 a.m. at P.L.
