 Surrounded by her loving family Mary R. Duenas, 94, entered into rest on January 23, 2017 in Manteca. She was born in her home town of Nogales, Mexico on January 27, 1922. She is preceded in death by her parents Antonio and Belen Rodriguez,  beloved husband Anselmo Duenas, her son Peter Espinoza and her grandson Antonio Duenas.
   Mary is survived by her five sons - Rudy Flores, Aurelio Duenas Sr., Felix Duenas Sr., Santos Duenas Sr. (wife Maria), and Anselmo Duenas II, as well as, her three daughters -  Connie Martinez (husband Phillip), Rita Bautista (Pedro) and Rosie Perez. She was blessed by 30 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
   As a homemaker and farm laborer, raising her nine children, Mary made her home in Roberts Island and Manteca for over 60 years. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. She treasured family times where her door was always open followed by a hot meal ready to eat. She enjoyed bbq’s and family gatherings which was always filled with music, dancing, singing and most importantly love. She was a wonderful storyteller always reminiscing about her younger years to her children and grandchildren. She was a lovable, simple lady who enjoyed the challenge of a good word search and found joy scratching Lotto tickets. Mary will be remembered as a humble, honest woman who loved her family unconditionally.
   P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Duenas family. A visitation will be on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by a rosary/vigil at 7:00 p.m. held at P.L. Fry & Son Chapel, 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca, CA. A mass will be on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 525 E. North St. Manteca, CA.
