Matthew Charles Rosendin, 58, passed away at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, California on November 11, 2023. He passed surrounded by his loving family after a two-year struggle against Acute Myeloid Leukemia. 

   Matt was born in Santa Clara, California on April 19, 1965, to the late Hector and Judy Rosendin. He was raised in San Jose until his family relocated to Manteca where he graduated from Manteca High School in 1983. Matt first began working in health care at Blood Source Blood Bank. After earning his nursing degree at Butte College in 2013, he worked at Twin Oaks Acute Rehabilitation Center and Feather River Hospital in Paradise. Matt began working at Enloe Hospital in Chico in 2018. Above all, Matt was a dedicated and loving husband, father, and man. 

   Matt is survived by his wife of 31 years, Kim Rosendin, and their three children, Emma, Grace, and Brett Rosendin, of Chico; sister Anne Rosendin (Nanette) of Castro Valley; brothers Michael Rosendin (Amy) of Ripon, and Jeff Rosendin and Steve Rosendin (Debbie) of Boise, Idaho; father and mother-in-law Robert and Linda Carner; sister-in-law Shanna Arthur (Mike) and brother-in-law Ryan Carner; and nephews and nieces: Derek, Jenna, Ciaran, and Alex Rosendin; Cody and Cole Arthur; Hannah and Jack Carner; and Lindsey Nofziger. 

   Funeral Services will be held at11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Our Divine Savior Parish in Chico, followed by burial at Glen Oaks Memorial Park Cemetery. A reception will be held from 1:00  to 4:00 p.m. at Almendra Winery and Distillery in Durham. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
