Mavis Barcikowski, 86, entered into rest on June 2, 2012 in Manteca. She was born on June 27, 1926 in England. Mavis has made her home in Manteca since 1988.

Mrs. Barcikowski is survived by her loving husband of 60 years James Barcikowski. She has three sons; Wayne and wife Mitra Barcikowski, Rick Barcikowski, and Mark and wife Luann Barcikowski. She was blessed by seven grandchildren; William Barcikowski, Victoria Siegal, Chelsea Gregory, Brian Barcikowski, Arthur Barcikowski, Timothy Barcikowski and Cody Barcikowski and (step-granddaughters) Brooke and Whitney. She has two great-grandchildren Kaylee and Connor Gregory. In addition, Mavis has three siblings; Tom Henton, Pete Henton and Shelia Collett.

Mavis was a homemaker always making things just perfect for her three sons and her husband. In her younger years Mavis enjoyed ballroom dancing. She enjoyed vacationing with family, reading, and western movies. She loved the company of good friends and good times as she spent many years on several bowling teams at the Manteca Bowling alley. Mavis will be remembered for her reserved humorous spirit as she always had a loving heart towards others. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Barcikowski family. A service will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. held at P.L. Fry & Son, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca.
