Beverly Hulene (Miracle) (Branscum) Hixon, 83, passed away February 5, 2021, at Bethany Home in Ripon.  Bev was born on April 16, 1937, in Grandfield, Oklahoma, to the late Hugh and Jesse (Tincy) Miracle.
   She was a graduate of Union High School in Fresno, and CSU Stanislaus where she earned her teaching credential. Bev taught primary grades K-2 for nearly 30 years, all at Golden West in Manteca. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Manteca, and in Modesto, where she served in numerous leadership positions and sang in the choir. She continued to serve those around her after her move to the Beth Haven Memory Care Unit six years ago and served until she could no longer.
   Bev is survived by her husband of 44 years, Norm Hixon, and their children Jeff Branscum (Noni), of Manteca, Laura Miller (Mike), of Williamstown, WV, Lisa Branscum, of Trona, CA, John Branscum, of Shelton WA, Mike Stahly (Arlene), of Seaside, OR, Michele White (Adrian), of Round Hill, VA, Chris Hixon (Rebecca), of Mountain House and Nicole Bagley (Brian)  of Manteca. She is also survived by her 25 grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren and by her siblings, Jim Miracle (Nelda) of CA, Sandy Jones of Arizona, Jerry Miracle of Oregon, sister-in-law Janice King of Manteca, CA, and nieces and nephews too vast to count.
    Bev was preceded in death by her first husband, Travis T. Branscum, her parents Hugh and Tincy Miracle, and a toddler sister, Anne.  
   A special thanks to the staff at Bethany Home Memory Care for their excellent and loving care during the last years of Bev’s life, and to Community Hospice for their tender loving care in her last months.
   Due to the current pandemic, a private gathering for family and friends will be held February 27, 2021, 1 p.m. at The Way Church in Manteca.
   In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Way Church or Community Hospice.
