Nita Del Rosario Felipe
June 24, 1942-September 6, 2015
Nita Del Rosario bw

Nita del Rosario Felipe, 73, joined our Creator on September 6, 2015 surrounded by her loving family in Manteca, CA.  She was born the youngest of eight children on June 24, 1942 in Laoag City, Philippines.  Before retiring to the United States, Nita was a 3rd grade teacher for more than 38 years in Laoag City, Philippines. She taught mostly at the Laoag Central Elementary School.
Mrs. Felipe is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years Dante Felipe. She has two devoted daughters, Maria Nita Cesante (husband John) and Melissa Felipe.  She was blessed with three beautiful granddaughters Danielle Arianna, Danica Antonie and Danett Alceena.
In 2003, Nita moved to Manteca to be closer to family. A devout Catholic, she attended St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Nita dedicated her time volunteering at Girl Scouts of America – Daisy’s and with St. Anthony’s Catholic Church Religious Education Programs. Nita’s passion was gardening, biking and traveling.  She always looked forward to the yearly visits of the Legion of Mary on her birthday, visiting Disneyland with her family, watching her Telenovelas and updating her Facebook. The highlights of her week are the bingo sessions at the Manteca Senior Center where she always sat at table 7, where she also volunteered.  Above all, Nita’s greatest joy was her three granddaughters; she found fulfilment in taking care of her grandkids. Her love for them was unconditional, they were her BABIES.
Nita will always be remembered as the devoted LOVE of Dante, a very loving and beautiful MAMA and a doting and proud GRANDMA. She will be deeply missed.
I know why everyone calls Heaven so beautiful – because it has our mother.
