Nolan “Smokey” Elliottt, 81, entered into rest on October 1, 2013, at his home in Lathrop. He is preceded in death by his parents, the late Nile and Agnes Elliott, lifelong residents of Lathrop, and his four siblings.
   Nolan leaves behind his two children, Sandra Reis, (Dennis) and Steven Elliott, three grandsons, Eric (Jenny), Zach (Kelly) Reis, John Elliott, and seven great-grandchildren, all of Manteca.
   Nolan received the nick name “Smokey” at a very young age, but gave up smoking over 20 years ago. He remained active and living on his own up until his death. He loved hunting, fishing, and his family.
   The family will be having a private gathering in his remembrance.
