Norma Grace Flahive, 87, entered into rest on August 16, 2012 in Manteca. She was born October 23, 1924 in Hayward, CA. In heaven she joins her husband of 50 years Edward Flahive.

She leaves behind her daughters; Kathleen Martinez and husband Robert of Discovery Bay and Nancy Haynes of Manteca. Norma was blessed with 5 grandchildren; Jeff, Brian (Leslie), Lee (Jill), Patrick (Sharon) and Matthew (Stephanie) as well as 13 great grandchildren. In addition Norma has one surviving sister Jean Ferreira.

Norma was member of St. Anthony’s Church and part of the Legion of Mary. She enjoyed her prayer group and looked forward to their weekly card game. She loved all of her many animals and enjoyed tending to her garden. Pismo beach was one of her many favorite places, especially accompanied by her family. She will be remembered for her giving heart and her unconditional love.

Arrangements for Norma are under the direction of P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic, 505 East North Street, Manteca.
