Omar Villanueva, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed away on March 27, 2026, surrounded by his beautiful family. He was born in Manteca, California on March 16, 1985, grew up in Ripon, and made his home in Manteca, where he built a life centered around his family. He is preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Villanueva, nephew, Benny Villanueva, grandparents Arnoldo and Evelia Ortiz, and Gonzalo and Delfina Villanueva.

Omar is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Katherine "Katie" Villanueva and their five children: Omar "Nico,” Audrey, Alexis, David, and Amelia Villanueva, who were the center of his world. He is also survived by his mother, Blanca Villanueva; his siblings, Lorena Villanueva, Ben Villanueva, Zoyla Torres (Victor), Alejandra Villanueva, Arnulfo Villanueva and Roberto Villanueva; his father-in-law, Richard Teicheira and mother-in-law, Kerry Teicheira; brothers-in-law, Chris (Marina) and Richie Teicheira; his sister-in-law, Andrea Hiatt (Brock); his godchildren ; Victor “Hugo” Torres and Riley Rodriguez; and many nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him dearly.

Omar had a larger-than-life personality and an unforgettable, infectious laugh that could light up any room. He was known for his generosity, loyalty, and genuine kindness, and had a way of making everyone feel welcome. Omar loved his "man toys,” such as his guns, big rig, quad, and RC cars. Whether belting out his favorite Mexican songs with a beer in his hand or blasting Country Music in the garage he lived life to the fullest. A true man with a heart of gold, he was a big teddy bear to those who knew him best.

Working for companies such as Cherokee Freight Lines, Mid-Valley Ag, Wilbur Ellis, and TST Transportation, Omar dedicated over 25 years of his life to the transportation and Ag logistics industry. Most recently he started his own trucking business, V7 Logistics. He was known for his strong work ethic. He was a faithful member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, MRPS Hall, NRA, and Arbor Day Foundation. Above all, Omar was a family man. His greatest joy in life was being a husband and a father. He will be remembered for his strength, his love, his laughter, and the deep impact he had on everyone fortunate to know him. His legacy lives on in the family he built and the memories he created with them. He truly lived by his favorite quote, "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift, that's why it's called the present".

P.L. Fry and Son is honored to be serving the Villanueva family. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at

3:00 p.m. followed by a rosary/vigil

6:00 p.m. both held at P.L. Fry and Son Chapel, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca, Ca. Mass will be the following day, Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church 525 E. North St., Manteca, Ca. He will be laid to rest at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in his name to your favorite charity or plant a tree in his honor and say a prayer.
