Patricia Marie Waychoff of Ripon, California, passed peacefully in her sleep at the age of 82 on February 23, 2025, after a long illness. Pat was born in St. Patrick's Catholic Hospital, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She was the first child born on St. Patrick's Day in this hospital which is how she received the name. Her family moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, and then to California in 1964. She lived in Fish Camp, Fresno, and finally settled in Ripon where she resided for 53 years. Pat was the first chairwoman who organized the very first Ripon Main Street Days which began in 1985 and continues yearly. Pat and Gary spent decades traveling through all 50 states, and they visited 14 countries. Her favorite place was Yellowstone where she visited more than 12 times.

She is preceded in death by her parents' Edwin Payne Edgeworth II and Jessie Marie Edgeworth, and brother Edwin Payne Edgeworth III (Butch). She is survived by her husband Gary Lynn Waychoff, sister Sandra Kay Hardy, 2 daughters and spouses: Patricia and Carl Tyhurst, and Joyce Dedini–Runnells and Carl Runnells; 5 grandchildren and spouses Alex and Cheri Tyhurst, Catelyn (Tyhurst) and Kris Allen, and Beverly (Dedini) and Brandon Clark, Jason and Dreanna Runnells, and Krystalle (Runnells) and Brad Hartz; 9 great grandchildren Cadence (Tyhurst) and Terence Harris, Hayden Allen, Benjamin Allen, Elizabeth (Clark) and Chaney Burton, Ryder Surbrugg–Clark, Shannon Clark, LoreLei Runnells, Logan Runnells, and Chloe Hartz; and 2 great–great grandchildren Reed Burton and Millie Burton, and also numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the Elks Lodge, Modesto, California from 1:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday, March 16th. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity in her name.
