Patrick Andrew Kinnear passed away unexpectedly on July 11, 2020 at the age of 49. He was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Born and raised in Fremont, CA., he was the son of Mary Kinnear, father of Morgan Kinnear, an ancestor of the Gunn clan and a graduate of Holy Spirit and Washington High School in Fremont, CA.    He was a fan of all sports, but a huge fan of the SF Giants and a rabid fan of Notre Dame football. In the past, he was an assistant coach for youth football and an assistant coach of football at Lathrop High School.
He worked for many years for the DLA at the Tracy Defense Depot, where he had many friends amongst his co-workers, and was deployed all over the world during his career. Famous for his smoked pork shoulder and ribs, he was a former owner of  Boss Hawgs restaurant and a former, favorite bartender at Shelly’s and Coach’s bars in Fremont. His greatest achievement however, and what he was most proud and famous for, was being Morgan’s dad. She was number one in his life and always telling everyone and anyone how proud he was of her. “That’s my kid” he used to say with a huge smile on his face.
Patrick is survived by his daughter, Morgan Kinnear, sister, Shirley Boyd (Steve), nieces, Marissa Boyd (Angelo), Hayley Boyd, nephew Colin Boyd (Athena), great-niece Aurora Basso, stepfather Saeid Nahavandi and his former wife and Morgan’s mom, Tina Kinnear. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Kinnear and grandparents, Patrick and Annie McQuade.
Services are delayed due to Covid pandemic and will be held at a later date.
