Patty (Patricia Ann) Moore passed into the presence of God on February 12, 2023 surrounded by her family at home in Manteca, CA. Patty leaves behind her devoted husband David (married 52 years), her three children, Emily (Shane), Jonathan (Dena Maria), and Anna (Tyson). Patty had eight grandchildren, Ashley (Patrick), Rebekah, Cheyenne (Colton), Mia, Meadow, Mazzi, Dylan, and Nolan, and five great-grandchildren, Jazlynn, Paul, Brooklynn, Gracelynn, and Cameron. Patty is survived by her sister Jane (Mick) and her brother Donald (Becky). Patty was adored by her family and is deeply missed.

Patty was a native Californian born in San Francisco on September 27, 1952. Raised in the North Bay, she lived many years in Larkspur and Healdsburg, moving to the Central Valley in 1967. Patty and David were married in 1970 and made their home since in Manteca. She and David received Christ through the Jesus People Movement in the early 1970s and began serving Christ together for rest of their lives. She served alongside her husband who started and pastored New Hope Church in Manteca for 25 years. After raising her children, Patty worked as a paraprofessional teacher aide with K-3 special day students, a job she loved.

Patty had a remarkable gift of hospitality, welcoming friends and family into her home with grace and care.  Gentle, kind, compassionate, she was a wonderful listener always accepting others without judgement. Her greatest joy was her family and nothing made her happier than being with them. She loved to read, cook-and especially good one-sew, and do crafts, sharing those gifts with her family and friends. She always made holidays special. Patty loved to travel and among her favorite trips were visits to England, the Netherlands, Rome, Tuscany, and Israel.

Patty was a woman of great integrity whose intangible qualities leave those she left behind feeling a profound loss. Though she is sorely missed, they are comforted by the words of the Apostle Paul who wrote “to be absent from the body is the be present with the Lord” (II Cor 5:8). Patty will be buried In Burwood Cemetery in Escalon. A public memorial will be held at New Hope Church on March 18 at 2:00 p.m. ,17218 Comconex Rd., Manteca, Ca.
