Robert john “Bob” Chimpky passed away in Ripon on New Year’s Eve. Born on May 5, 1934, he resided in Stockton for 13 years and was previously from the Bay Area.
Robert was a retired carpenter and a member of the Carpenters Union Local 713.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Chimpky, and daughter, Diana Palafox.
Survivors include children Robert Chimpky, Jr., Maryann Hernandez, Coral Trego, Lisa Chimpky and stepchildren Judith Pollard, Linda Earners, and Russell Wise. He is also survived by son-in-law Hal Pollard, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Jan. 16, at 11 a.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca.
