Rodney was born on July 7, 1972 and joined the Lord on October 18, 2013.  Rodney was the son of Rodney H. Erich and Joetta G. Welton, Erich, Lindermyer. 
Rodney attended grade school at Golden West and Neil Hafley. Rodney then went on to East Union and Manteca High and graduated from Calla.  He played football and was a phenomenal track star. His artistic talents were beyond measure and won awards for many drawings in high school.  On the flight deck of the USS Carl Vinson is one of Rodney’s drawings, the Navy Seal.  After graduation he joined the Navy where he spent 4 1/2 years serving our country on board the USS Carl Vinson and participated in Desert Strike.  Rodney then went to work for Pilkington, NA, in Lathrop where he worked for 16 years.
   Rodney was much loved and survived by sisters, Angela (Johnson), Jennifer (Haro), step-sister Erica Knafelc and half-sister Alexis.  Rodney had three nieces, Jacilia, Arianna, and Cadence, and four nephews, Austin, Dylan, Ryan, and Zeke, a step-mother Cynthia Erich, an aunt Virginia Bauer and grandmother Geneva Erich.  “His heart was just too big for this world. “
   In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made in Rodney’s name to Celebrate Recovery at Crossroads Grace Community Church, 1505 Moffat Blvd, Manteca CA 95337
   A grave-site service to be held at Cherokee Memorial Park in  Lodi  at 11:00 a.m. on October 28, 2013.
