Shelbe Lynn (Hobgood) Rhodes was born on December 23, 1968, and passed away on July 20, 2025. A lifelong resident of Manteca, Shelbe was known for her vibrant personality and for her deep love for her family.

   Shelbe was married to her loving husband, Rick Rhodes, for 14 beautiful years. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Philip Klingman, as well as by her mother and stepfather, Kathleen and Ron Nascimento; her father, Carl Hobgood; and her sister, Traci Hobgood.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Iris; her stepson, Donovan; and her stepsister, Tammi DeCosta (Rick). Above all, she was an extremely proud grandmother to her cherished grandson, Isaiah-being his grandma was her greatest joy.

   Shelbe was a graduate of Manteca High School, Class of 1987. A dedicated homemaker, she poured her heart into her family, always putting their needs first. She was a past member of the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs, actively involved for over 25 years.  She loved bargain hunting at yard sales and thrift stores, had a soft spot for Perry Mason, and rarely missed an episode of The Young and the Restless. She also had a passion for home design and fixer-upper shows, often dreaming up ideas of her own.

   Shelbe's personality was bubbly, spunky, and full of life. She had a sharp sense of humor and a deeply empathetic heart She was a loving wife, a devoted mother, and a truly exceptional grandmother whose love will live on in the hearts of her family forever.
