Born in Cardiff by the Sea on May 26, 1942, Una Schluer, was called home by her Savior Jesus Christ on February 6, 2023. She is preceded in death by her parents Rev. Jesse and Gladys Crawford, siblings, Lawrence Crawford, Jack Crawford, Claude Crawford and Betty Crowder.

Una is survived by her loving family, husband and best friend of 56 years Jerry Schluer, children Charlotte Camara (David), Sheila Brandley, Jennifer Ender (Jason) and Stephen Schluer (Thaera). She was blessed with 10 grandchildren: Christopher, Paul, Nathan, Jennifer, Tyler, Ryan, Matthew, Hannah, Lela and Collins and six great-granddaughters. Una leaves behind one brother Tommy Crawford and many numerous family members and friends who loved her dearly.

Raised as a Missionary Baptist, Una was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Manteca for many years.  By nature, she had a servant’s heart; she taught bible study, held small groups, participated in the adult choir, played the piano, and volunteered in the food pantry. In the early 80’s Una owned and operated Ceramic City on W. Yosemite Ave. in Manteca where she met many customers who became lifelong friends. Una had a passion for children, which lead her down the path of becoming a Juvenile Justice Commissioner and spent countless hours at Mary Graham Hall encouraging youth to display positive behaviors. Una took great pride in being a wife, mother, and grandmother; she always kept her home immaculate, where everyone felt loved, invited, and welcomed. Una always invested time, morals, compassion and most importantly prayer with every life she touched.  Una truly mirrored a Proverbs 31, Virtuous Women. When not serving her community, Una enjoyed traveling to Hawaii and Lake Tahoe with her husband, designing ornaments, and creating beautiful needlepoint designs. Una enjoyed spending many hours in her perfectly manicured yard and garden. After her Savior Jesus Christ, her family was always number one; she whole-heartily supported and loved her family unconditionally.  Una will be remembered as beloved wife, a truly devoted mother, an amazing Noni, wonderful aunt, and a true friend.
