Valos passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 15 in Redding, CA. He was surrounded by family with grandchildren and great-grandchildren singing “Jesus Loves Me”. Valos was the son of the late Inez (Leventon) and Valos Brownell of Manteca. He was 97 years old.
   He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Jean (Bussing) Brownell.  They were known by many as the “Bev’s”. The “Bev’s” shared 71 years together. Also surviving are his daughter, Sally Ann and Daniel Owen, Vacaville, CA, sons Dan and Emma Jane Brownell, Reading, PA, Pastor Steven and Frances Brownell with whom he has been residing, and Carl and Vicki Brownell, Modesto, CA. There are 10 grand- children and 27 great- grandchildren.
   Valos was predeceased by his brothers, Kenneth and Robert and sister, Virginia Mahorney.
   Valos worked for 30 years for Karlson Brothers Trucking in Manteca and then assisted in farming operations of 30,000 acres in the Delta region of Rio Vista and Sacramento, retiring at 80 years old. He was a member of the Manteca Historical Society.
