Susie Ross, born on February 15, 1948, passed away surrounded by her loving family on August 6, 2019.
Susie is survived by her two brothers, David Bricker and Michael Bricker, her five children, Cindy Reich, Jon Ross (Amy), Sandra Nagy, Dawnita Ross and Bobby Joe Ross. She leaves behind nine grandchildren, Breana Barr, Krystina Decker, Jonnie Rae Behrens, Tommy Reich, Angela Hope Reich, Nicholas Nagy, Alec Nagy, Chaz Glaze and Leena Sermeno and her five great-grand- children, Travis Barr, Marley Barr, Eli Decker, Raelynn Behrens and Ryder Reich.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Rachel and Henry Bricker.
Susie will be remembered as a very feisty and headstrong woman who loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As her son Jon would say, “She was strong like DONKEY.” She loved the simple things in life, her garden, cotton candy, Shirley Temple movies, decorating for holidays and playing video games. You couldn’t count on Susie wearing shoes, but you could always count on her if you needed help or if you wanted to go camping at Caswell Park.
Susie took pride in cultivating a yard and home for her five children. Generous at heart and having a sweet tooth, she baked often and never let anyone leave her home hungry or empty handed. Her door was always open to strays, all were welcome, whether they walked, crawled, waddled or slithered. However, “You better shut that door behind you,” because she was not heating or cooling the neighborhood! She will be missed dearly.
