Walter den Dulk, Sr.

Walter den Dulk, Sr., was born on February 11, 1937, and passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2010.  He was 73.  Walt was a life-long resident of Ripon.  He was a self-employed farmer, who along with his two brothers, Ron and Bud, owned and operated den Dulk Poultry Farms and Ripon Milling for approximately 50 years.  He was also a member in the U. S. Naval Reserves.

Walt is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nelva den Dulk; oldest son Walter den Dulk, Jr. and his wife Lian; middle son, Randy den Dulk and his wife Shauna; and youngest son Craig den Dulk.  Walt is also survived by 5 loving grandkids, Ryan, Stacy, Katie, Adrian and Anton.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Arie and Aletha den Dulk and his oldest sister, Betty Jane Schaapman.  He is survived by brothers Marv, Arie (Bud), Ron and sister, Audrey Hekman.

Walt most enjoyed working in his yard, fishing, barbecuing for large groups, visiting with friends and family and studying California history.  Above all, he most enjoyed family trips to the cabin in the redwoods in Mt. Hermon and memorable hunting trips to Lovelock, Nevada.   At various times he volunteered his time and served on the school board for Ripon Christian Schools, the Stockton Gospel Center Rescue Mission and was a past president of the Ripon Junior Chamber of Commerce.  He was a member of Immanuel Christian Reformed Church.

A public visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Monday, June 7, 2010 at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel in Ripon, CA.  Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at the Ripon Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Christian Reformed Church, 517 Orange Avenue in Ripon.  Memorial donations can be made to the Stockton Gospel Center Rescue Mission, 445 S.
