The hub of traffic collision repair in Manteca will soon be along East Yosemite Avenue east of Vasconcellos Avenue and across the street from Manteca Trailer & RV.
Certified Collision Center is seeking permission to build three buildings to house the firm’s automotive repair operations on vacant land on the corner of Vasconcellos and Yosemite.
The Manteca Planning Commission will consider the project when they meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Civic Center, 1001 W. Center St. The project will provide 13,611 square feet of repair area, 4,757 square feet of offices and 1,048 square feet of storage on 1.5 acres.
The new complex is going immediately west of the existing Tradeway Collisison Center that faces East Yosemite Avenue.
The commission also will review plans for a 67,771-square-foot addition to the 194,400-square-foot B.R. Funsten & Co. distribution center and warehouse on the northwest corner of Industrial Park Drive and South Main Street.
The flooring firm was established in San Francisco in 1957 and moved to Manteca in 1998 into the former Dana Cop. building that was 108,000 square feet at the time. In 2009 they added 86,400 square feet of warehouse space and 7,200 square feet of office space for the current building configuration.
The firm ranks in the Top 10 for Manteca sales tax collections and employs more than130 people.
