Nevada breaks away late, beats Pacific

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Cameron Oliver and Marcus Marshall scored 17 points apiece to lead Nevada to a 77-67 win over Pacific on Tuesday night.
Nevada (6-2) has won six of its last seven games.
Oliver hit 6 of 12 field goal attempts, pulled down eight rebounds and had five blocked shots. Marshall made 9 of 11 free throws and dished out six assists. Jordan Caroline added nine points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Wolf Pack.
Trailing 50-46, Nevada made three straight free throws and Oliver nailed a 3-point jumper with 9:24 left to start a 19-2 run to give the Wolf Pack a 65-52 lead at the 5:30 mark. Pacific made a late run but could not close the gap.
The teams had been tied five times and had six lead changes until Nevada broke away.
Ray Bowles led Pacific (2-3) with 22 points and Jack Williams added 15.
