SAN JOSE (AP) — Dillon Dobson had three hits and scored two runs as the San Jose Giants defeated the Stockton Ports 8-2 on Thursday.
San Jose took a 2-1 lead in the fourth after Jose Vizcaino Jr. hit an RBI single, driving in Aramis Garcia.
After San Jose added a run in the sixth on a single by Jonah Arenado, the Ports cut into the deficit in the seventh inning when Skye Bolt hit an RBI double, scoring Sean Murphy.
Carlos Diaz (2-0) got the win with two innings of scoreless, three-hit relief while Stockton starter Evan Manarino (0-1) took the loss in the California League game.
Bolt doubled and singled for the Ports. Mikey White singled twice, also stealing a base.
