The last day to purchase tickets for the Manteca High football team’s rooters’ buses is Wednesday, Aug. 20.

Block M Alumni coordinator Keith Jackson has reserved two buses for the Buffaloes’ opener on Aug. 29 against Wilcox (Santa Clara) at Levi’s Stadium, the new billion-dollar home of the San Francisco 49ers.

Manteca will take part in the “Friday Night Lights,” a heavy hitting doubleheader that will serve as a dress rehearsal for the 49ers and their staff. The reigning Sac-Joaquin Section Division III champions will face hometown favorite Wilcox at 4:30 p.m. Wilcox was one of only two teams to beat the Buffaloes last fall, escaping Guss Schmeidt Field with a 28-27 overtime victory.

Parochial powers De La Salle, a six-time state champion, and Carmichael Jesuit will lock horns at 7:30 p.m. in a game that will be televised on ESPN2 and WatchESPN.

General admission tickets for adults are $20 apiece, and $5 for students and children under the age of 18. Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.ticketmaster.com.

Or for those looking for a little more out of the experience see Jackson.

The Manteca High alum has chartered two buses for the game. Those interested can purchase one of two ticket packages:

• The Luxury Suite Package, which costs $80. That ticket will secure your seat in a luxury suite at the stadium, as well as gain you access to the general admission area. Ticket also covers transportation and parking costs.

• Or the General Admission Package, which costs $60. Along with covering transportation and parking costs, this $60 ticket guarantees you a seat in the general admission seating area and commemorative T-shirt.

Jackson said the number of available tickets in the luxury suite is dwindling.

The buses will leave the Walmart parking lot in Manteca at 1 p.m. and caravan with the team buses carrying the players and coaches. Both chartered buses will stay for both games, giving Manteca’s fans a chance to explore the 49ers’ new home.
