In a battle of Wing-T offenses, it was Bradshaw Christian that came out on top Friday at Lathrop, 35-28.

The Pride of Sacramento built a 21-point lead but was shut out in the second half.

Kameron Jones provided much of the highlights for Lathrop, finishing with 111 rushing yards on eight attempts and three total touchdowns. The senior wingback/defensive back dashed his way to 69- and 31-yard touchdown scampers in the first quarter, vaulting the Spartans ahead, 14-7.

Bradshaw Christian’s offense was unstoppable for the remainder of the half, smashing its way to 28 unanswered points. Sophomores Nathan Zeppieri and Brandon Burden accounted for two rushing TDs apiece for the Pride.

Quarterback Jerico Santillan sparked Lathrop’s comeback attempt, scoring from a yard out in the third quarter. Jones went coast-to-coast for the scoop-and-score and his third touchdown of the night.

The Spartans next travel to Concord to take on Mt. Diablo.
