RIPON — Ripon Christian slammed visiting Sacramento High 35-6 on Friday in non-league junior varsity action on Friday.

Jace Biedleman was 11 of 15 passing for 135 yards with a 4-yard touchdown run and 3-yard scoring passes to Ethan Schenk and Logan De Jong.

Cade Gemmell got Ripon on the board with a 1-yard scoring plunge and Logan Sauer capped the night’s scoring with a 19-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

Gemmell paced the Knights defense with eight tackles. Josh Miller added four stops and Carson Bunnell three. Isaiah Vander Woude recovered a fumble while Schenk, Sauer, Cote Windorski, Ricky Van Unen, Walker Postma, Andrew Mensonides, John Lara and E.J. Bruno also contributed on defense.

 

Manteca 44, Patterson 0

K.P. MacDannald ran for 134 yards and two Buffaloes touchdowns.

MacDannald carried the ball 11 times for those 134 yards with scoring runs of 44 and 45 yards along with two receptions for 31 yards and a 36-yard punt return. Marco Ramos scored on runs of 2 and 38 yards, Luis Rivera had a 26-yard touchdown run and Landon Chamberlain added a 1-yard scoring plunge.

Rivera paced the defense with seven tackles followed by Manny Ramirez (tipped pass) and Ethan Mathews with three stops apiece. Jacob Hernandez tipped two passes and Andrew Defrenchi made an interception.

 

Lathrop 56, Mt. Diablo 0

The Spartans ran just 11 offensive plays with the first four resulting in touchdowns.

Ryan Buccat (two carries, 120 yards) scored on runs of 55 and 65 yards as well as on a 55-yard kickoff return. Ramon Rivas (four carries, 63 yards) tallied touchdowns on runs of 5, 15 and 20 yards and Nate Martinez had an 18-yard touchdown run. Nathan Martinez, Adrian Zuniga and Matthew Rankin also contributed on offense.

Lathrop’s Andre Mughar notched a safety and made four tackles.  Romeo Gasilos and Nathan Martinez led the Spartans defense with six tackles apiece. Sean Teu and Dominic Corral added three stops apiece with Zuniga, Ramon Rivas, Noah Alejandro, Casyn Hopping, Adrian Padilla, Julio Garcia, Jordan Blase and Jerome Datu all contributing on defense.

 

Windsor 26, East Union 20

Carson Sanders ran for a touchdown and threw for another for the Lancers.

Carson was 4 of 8 passing for 67 yards and carried the ball eight times for 67 yards. Anthony Morales ran for one touchdown and was 11 of 17 passing for 107 yards and an interception.

East Union’s Nicholas Salcido made a touchdown catch and Orion Germann pulled in six catches for 73 yards. Izik Quezada, Ivan Alvarez and Blake Mount also contributed on offense.

Freshman

Weston Ranch 22, Mountain House 14

Fernando Vargas figured in all three Cougars scores on Thursday.

Late in the first quarter Vargas returned an interception 30 yards for an 8-0 Weston Ranch lead. He added touchdown throws of 21 and 58 yards to Ahmyri Hall.

Vargas and Miguel Garcia each recovered a fumble.

 

Sierra 20, Tokay 0

It is tough to win when you do not score. It is tough to score when you do not gain a yard. The Timberwolves held the Tigers to negative-30 yards of offense.

Manuel Castaneda and Isaiah Lynch paced the ferocious Sierra defense with eight tackles apiece.

Brock Felt and Victor Yamamoto added four stops each with Mario Juarez and Tali Vaipun adding three tackles apiece. Isaiah Guerrero, Jonathan Lawas, Jake Cronin and Ricardo Anaya also contributed on defense.

Three different Timberwolves scored in a balanced Sierra attack. Felt (eight carries, 70 yards) and Yamamoto (six carries, 32 yards) scored on 5-yard runs and Taylor Rowe added a 4-yard touchdown run. Evan Greenwood added 34 yards on five carries. 

 

Manteca 32, Patterson 0 

Louie Rosas scored two touchdowns for Buffaloes in a game that saw 10 Manteca players with rushes and seven with receptions.

Rosas scored on an 8-yard run and on a 34-yard pass from Preston Smith (11 of 17 passing, 97 yards). Rueben Moreno (nine carries, 66 yards) scored on a 10-yard run while Damaree Long (14 carries, 82 yards) added a 6-yard scoring run. Chris Chavez made four catches for 30 yards.

Chavez returned an interception 15 yards for a touchdown and recovered a fumble. Eddie Anthony made nine tackles with Jeremy Douglas (five tackles), Nick Garcia and Vincent Torres each making an interception. Isiah White tallied two sacks.
