Andrew Shaw threw for two touchdowns and ran for two more to lead Ripon to a 32-6 non-league junior varsity win over visiting East Union on Friday at Stouffer Field.
Shaw (6 of 12 passing, 124 yards; 10 carries, 52 yards) got his first touchdown on a 16-yard run in the first quarter set up by the first of two fumble recoveries by Jesse Healy.
In the second period he threw scoring passes of 24 and 32 yards to Gavin Marlow and ran for a 20-yard touchdown to spot the Indians to a 20-0 halftime lead.
Matthew Gaines (eight carries, 50 yards) capped the Ripon scoring in the third quarter with an 11-yard touchdown run. Matthew Gaines made three receptions for 37 yards.
Peyton Heath got the Lancers on the board in the fourth period with a 23-yard scoring pass to Aoktavio Nunez (four receptions, 44 yards). Shane Lewis added 54 yards on seven carries.
Manteca 42, St. Mary’s 14
Nikko Juarez scored four touchdowns and ran for nearly 200 yards for the Buffaloes.
Juarez (14 carries, 195 yards) scored on runs of 3, 7, 29 and 55 yards. Elijah Stevenson added a 25-yard touchdown run, and Jose Rios pulled down a 7-yard scoring pass from Owen Gully (3 of 3 passing, 86 yards). Cameron Jiminez made two receptions for 79 yards.
Manteca’s Kyrin Barajas made eight tackles. Logan Pool added seven stops, Elijah Stevenson six with Matheiu Evans making two sacks.
Ripon Christian 8, Calaveras 0
Chase Bunnell’s 1-yard scoring plunge in the third quarter was enough for the Knights win.
Bunnell was 3 of 5 passing for 33 yards, and Aaron Van Hofwegen made four receptions for 39 yards. Lushen Sanders added 41 yards on 12 carries, Carson Cho posted five carries for 35 yards and Blake Stuit made 30 yards on seven carries. Dax Beidleman contributed on offense.
Van Hofwegen made seven tackles, Biedleman made five stop with a blocked pass, Jack De Jong added four tackles with Bunnell, Isaac Venema and Carson Cho getting three tackles apiece.
Sierra 22, Golden Valley 14
Ryan Reyes made two rushing touchdowns and kicked a 32-yard field goal for the Timberwolves.
Sierra’s Riley Kane (11 of 14 passing, 119 yards) hit Cole Martin on a 45-yard touchdown pass with the game on the line.
A.J Chapman made two key interceptions for the Timberwolves, and Jayson Arnoldus led the defense with 10 tackles.
Lathrop 27, Weston Ranch 0
Malachi Gonzales ground out 133 yards and scored a touchdown for the Spartans.
Gonzales tallied 14 carries with 43-yard touchdown run. Humza Habibi (11 carries, 88 yards) added a 40-yard touchdown run with Richard Felina scoring on a 20-yard run. Landon Nolte (three receptions, 32 yards) pulled in a 16-yard scoring pass from Treydon Santos (4 of 8 passing, interception).
Eric Lucatero and Adrian Howard led the Lathrop defense with two tackles apiece.
