Spartans cap season with win at Kimball

TRACY — Keonnee Linnell had three touchdown passes for Lathrop on Friday in a 25-12 Valley Oak League road win for the Spartans over Kimball at Don Nicholson Stadium.
Linnell’s first scoring toss was for 18 yards to Donald Garland III followed by touchdown passes of 10 yards to Prinston Fontenberry and 35 yards to Bobby Walls. Michael Ramos had the other score for Lathrop (3-4 VOL, 4-6 overall) on a 6-yard run.
“The guys came out wanted to execute, play hard and they played hard,” Spartans coach Joe Pirillo said. “They wanted to go out on a good note and I thought they did. They played their hearts out tonight.”
Idowu Olaleye had 12 tackles for Lathrop and teammate Antonio Marquez made an interception in the fourth quarter.
The Jaguars (0-7, 1-9) trailed 19-0 after three quarters and got their lone points in the final period.
