The winter break has been anything but a break for Lathrop High’s wrestling program.On Tuesday, the Spartans’ varsity grapplers completed the two-day Modesto Junior College Invitational and five of them had top-six finishes. Leading the charge was Alex Garcia, who was 3-0 in claiming the 132-pound division. It’s his second tourney title of the young season; earlier this month he captured gold at 138 pounds and was named Most Valuable Wrestler of the Ceres Bulldog Invitational.Cristian Garcia also continued to build on his strong start, going 4-1 for third place at 126.
