The senior outfielder is on a hitting tear to end her final regular season at Manteca.
Last week, she reached a career milestone in joining the program’s 100 Hit Club, doing so against tough competition.
On Thursday, she went 4 for 4 with two doubles and a homer while plating two runs and driving in three others in a 15-6 loss to Cal-bound pitcher Randi Roelling and Valley Oak League champion Central Catholic. She was also 2 for 3 in a 4-3 defeat at Kimball on May 3.
Almeida is on a seven-game hitting streak in which she is 17 for 22. She was again 2 for 3 with a double, a run and an RBI on Tuesday, as the Buffaloes routed rival East Union 8-0 in the league finale.
Manteca finished 5-5 in league for fourth place and heads into the postseason with a 16-8 record.
For the season, Almeida is the team leader in batting average (.515), hits (35), runs (20), RBIs (14) and multi-base hits (12) while striking out just three times in 76 plate appearances.
