Justin Coenenberg tallied his 300th win as Manteca High’s girls soccer coach on Monday, and the Buffaloes did so in dominating fashion against visiting Patterson, 4-0.
Manteca (5-1-2, 15-4-2 overall) exacted some measure of revenge after previously drawing with the Tigers (1-5-2, 4-9-3).
The Buffs had four different goal scorers in the rematch and 15-2 advantage in shot attempts. Layla Flannigan and Kailee Jackson each had a goal and an assist. Jasmine Aguilar and Makayla Spencer scored in the second half. Bianca Esparza assisted Flannigan’s goal.
Tina Macomber had two saves in her 70-minute appearance in goal. Amaya Pacheco completed the shutout.
Manteca next hosts non-league foe Lathrop on Friday for its annual Kicking for a Cure game.
