The Manteca Futbol Club’s under-11 girls Red Devils are holding tryouts today and Thursday at Doxey Park starting at 6 p.m.


Players must be born between Aug. 1, 1998-July 31, 1999.

MFC U-12: The MFC Heartbreakers Under-12 girls team is seeking players of all levels.

Manteca Futbol Club is looking to fill roster spots for many of its younger teams.


The under-11 girls Arsenal 98 is welcoming potential players to attend its practices Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Chadwick Park. REBELS: The Delta Rebels are offering free participation to all varsity football players ages 11-14 weighing between 100-190 pounds.


Sports physicals are required to participate. Signups are Monday-Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Lincoln Park off Powers Ave. Registration ends Aug. 21.

JAGUARS: The Manteca Jaguars are offering five football scholarships for their varsity squad. Players must be 8th graders that weigh up to 195 pounds.

FREEDOM: The Nor Cal Freedom 14-under travelling softball team is holding private tryouts to fill one or two spots for the 2009 fall season. The team will hold just 10 to 11 committed players to insure playing time for everyone.

SHE DEVILS: The She Devils 16-under competitive softball team is holding tryouts Aug. 22 and Aug. 29 at Morenzone Field (1323 W. Center St.) in Manteca from 1-3:30 p.m.


Existing players have started practicing on Tuesday and Thursdays starting at 5:30 p.m.

KICKBALL

The World Adult Kickball Association is opening its first division in Manteca. For around $8 a week, players get an official team shirt, all game equipment and unique social benefits like division parties, new friends, professional networking opportunities as well as a chance to give back to the community through charity events held each season.


WAKA offers players the opportunity to qualify for the World Championship Founders Cup Tournament held annually in Las Vegas.


Pickup games will be held Aug. 20 and Sept. 3 at 7 p,m, at Big League Dreams.


The season begins Sept. 17 at 7 p.m.

BASKETBALL

TRACY STORM: The Tracy Storm traveling 13-under Amateur Athletic Union squad is looking for experienced players to add to its roster for the 2009-10 season, which begins in September.


The Storm is a competitive team that travels to tournaments around Northern California. Fundamentals and preparation for high school ball are stressed. Players must be between the 6th and 8th grades.
