SACRAMENTO (AP) — The Sacramento Kings have extended general manager Vlade Divac’s contract and exercised the option for coach Dave Joerger’s fourth season.
The moves announced Wednesday keep Divac and Joerger under contract in Sacramento through the 2019-20 season. Divac says the two have a unified vision on how to get the Kings back to the playoffs for the first time since 2006.
Divac enters his third year as general manager and is trying to rebuild the roster after trading star center DeMarcus Cousins to New Orleans last season.
Joerger is entering his second season with the Kings after three years as coach in Memphis. Sacramento had a 32-50 record last season.
