LANCERS BATTLE TO TIE

East Union and Gregori exchanged first-quarter touchdowns Friday and that was to 

be all of the scoring as the two teams played to a 6-6 tie in non-league sophomore action at Dino Cunial Field. 

 Matthew Pilkay (2 of 7 passing, 65 yards) found Tony Martinez with a 3-yard scoring pass to put the Lancers ahead 6-0. Mason James was the workhorse for East Union with 18 carries for 78 yards and Jesse Anzar had four carries for 54 yards with one reception for 42 yards.

 Cruz Padilla had 12 tackles for East Union with Elias Andrews and Alex Kukor making six stops and Jaysen Riendel five. 

Pilkay had three interceptions and Jesse Anzar one.
