MORAGA, Calif. (AP) — Saint Mary’s has announced plans to renovate its basketball gym and upgrade its facilities.
The school revealed details Friday of the $13 million project that will upgrade McKeon Pavilion.
The school will add 500 seats, video boards and suites to McKeon Pavilion, which is one of the smaller gyms in the West Coast Conference with a listed capacity of 3,500 fans.
The plans also include a performance center that will include a weight room, training and on-site sports medicine areas, a new women’s volleyball locker room and athletic offices.
The Gaels have been one of the most men’s basketball programs despite the outdated facilities. They are tied for the 10th most wins in the nation since the start of the 2009-10 season.
