The under-19 girls Fury were able to salvage a tie thanks to Fabiola Magana’s second-half goal in a 1-1 tie against Stockton.

The Manteca Area Soccer League club fell behind 1-0 in the first half after Stockton converted a penalty kick. Anna Arriola, Ivy Benson, Joanna Martinez and Carla Ochoa continued to pressure the defense, combining for several threatening opportunities.

Fury finally got on board with Magana’s goal, a result of Kristen Robinson’s corner-kick cross. Goalie Kareena Escartin (8 saves) and defenders Taylor Gray, Ruby Talavera, Kaitlynn Tarango and Robinson held up on the defensive third to preserve the draw.

Fury’s perfect start to the season ended but they remain unbeaten with a 4-0-1 record.
