MFC completes winning season

It was a good start for the Manteca Futbol Club Red Devils under-10 girls soccer team.

The Red Devils took first in the indoor season at Big League Dreams and finished 4-2-2 in the NorCal Premier outdoor spring season for second place.

Jordyn Costa shined in outdoor action, accounting for 18 of the team’s 26 goals. Kyndra Kiser, Chloe Benham and Alaina Haena also contributed on the attack.

Daisy Barajas, Jasenya Barajas, Daisy Talavera, Jada Menchacha and Megan Coria were the pacesetters from the midfield. Defending the goal were Melissa Suarez, Alyssa Taboa and Ivy Benson.

“The girls have only been together since March and have done far beyond my expectations,” coach Jacki Rodrigues said. “I could not be prouder of how well we did overall, and I am really looking forward to the fall season.”
