Seven Lancer Youth grapplers garner gold

The Lancer Youth Wrestling Club was well represented in the Stockton Elite Tournament hosted at Bear Creek High in Stockton Saturday.

Seven local grapplers returned home with first-place medals.

Tommy Perea and Jaysen Reindel both earned their second tourney titles of the San Joaquin Wrestling Association freestyle season. Perea topped the field in the 75-pound bantam division, while Reindel won at 152 schoolboy.

Other top finishers were Tyler Diaz in 65 intermediate, Trinidad Diaz in 85 novice, Andres Donatelli in 120 novice, Branden Rullan in 77 schoolboy and Ethan Rullan in 65 novice.

Isaiah Ford (65 novice), Vincent Marquez (91-98 schoolboy) and Austin Roberts (65 intermediate) were each runner-up placers. Conner Galloway (75 first-year novice) and Riley Revino (85 intermediate) placed third.
