STOCKTON — Welcome back Jordan Ribota.

Out to sickness for over a week, the senior ace/slugger returned to action Thursday to lead Sierra to a 15-3 blowout of Stagg.

Ribota pitched four strong innings, allowing just one earned run. The Delta Kings scored all of their runs in the fourth, two of which were aided by errors.

But Sierra (3-2) had mounted a 9-0 lead by the bottom of the fourth, scoring eight in the first two innings.

But Ribota outdid himself from the batter’s box, where he was 3 for 5 with two doubles and six RBIs. Jacob Angelo finished 2 for 3, and Jordan Louie belted a triple.

Phillip Clark ended up 2 for 3 with a triple to lead Stagg.

Sierra hosts West of Tracy (4-2) today at 3:30 p.m. for its final test before the Valley Oak League season. The Timberwolves open regular-season play at home against Weston Ranch next Tuesday.
