Whites run leads Stockton over San Jose

SAN JOSE (AP) — Eli White and Tyler Ramirez scored on an error in the sixth inning to help the Stockton Ports secure a 6-3 victory over the San Jose Giants on Wednesday.

Nolan Blackwood struck Jalen Miller out with the bases loaded to end the game for his ninth save of the season.

The runs by White and Ramirez gave the Ports a 4-2 lead.

The Ports later tacked on two runs in the eighth when Skye Bolt got hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and Brett Siddall drew a bases-loaded walk to secure the victory.

Dalton Sawyer (1-1) got the win in relief while San Jose starter Matt Krook (3-7) took the loss in the California League game.

For the Giants, Aramis Garcia homered and singled, driving home two runs.
