Manteca Ford-Mercury has officially achieved Blue Oval Certification status based on exceeding the certification target under the 2010 criteria.

“Our Blue Oval Certification is a direct result of working together effectively as one team,” noted owner Phil Waterford. “I am proud of our entire staff. We have been able to retain and attract some of the best employees in the Central Valley.

The certification comes on the heels of the dealership’s financial statement for January being completed. It reflects the 14th consecutive month of sustained profitability.

Christopher J. Buckmaster, a service technician at the dealership, has a number of achievements in the 2010 Masters Program.

Buckmaster is achieving this status for the first time. Awards for this achievement include the Master Trophy, Chassis Plaque, 2010 Ingot, Master Technician Hat and 2010 Technician Magnet. Buckmaster is one of 227 technicians in the San Francisco Region who holds this status.

As vehicle technology progresses, it requires increased levels of knowledge and skill for technicians to effectively complete advanced diagnostic and repair operations.
