PRESBYTERIAN: Please join Manteca Presbyterian Church this Palm Sunday at 10 a.m. for Pastor Wendy Warner’s sermon “Jesus Had a Parade.” Music Minister Anne Talcott will be leading the Praise Team at the beginning of the service as well as directing the choir in the anthem, “He Comes in the Name of the Lord” and “God’s Holy Lamb.” We would like to invite you to stay and join us for refreshments in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the service. CALVARY COMMUNITY: This Sunday at Calvary we continue a new three week series “Talking With God” with Part 3, “Why Our Prayers Go Unanswered?” The message will include the three ways God answers prayers and three reasons why God says “No.”

Calvary offers Sunday morning services at 9 and 10:30 a.m. A non-traditional service with progressive music and media, relational settings, multiple teachers, and opportunities for individual expression is offered at 6 p.m. Children’s programs run concurrently with all services.

UNITED LUTHERAN: Join us Sunday, March 28, for the traditional service at 8 a.m. and/ or the contemporary service at 10:30 a.m. This Sunday is Palm Sunday and we will be having our Easter Cantata “I Know My Redeemer Lives” at both services. Nursery care is available for children 6 months to 6 years old. Thursday, April 1 at 7 p.m. we will hold a Maundy Thursday Communion Service and Friday, April 2 at 7 p.m. we will hold a Good Friday Tenebrae Service. Everyone is welcome. CORNERSTONE COMMUNITY: This Sunday, Pastor Ron Mueller will be our guest. The title of his Psalm Sunday message is “The Lord Bless and Keep You.” Our service time is 10 a.m. Nursery, preschool and Children’s Church are provided. Please join us Easter Sunday at 8:30 or 10:30 a.m. for an illustrated message entitled “The Door.” We will have a free Willy Wonka Easter Egg Hunt at 12 p.m. for children ages 3 to 12. Our Wednesday night service called “The Blitz” is designed for adults who want to be encouraged during the week with a plan from God’s word. The service includes a life-building message from Pastor Scott Hoag, the Play of the Week for families and uplifting music that will build your faith. We also offer Royal Rangers & MPact Girl’s club for kids - Jr. High and High School. It all starts at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 7:29 p.m. We are located at 17900 Comconex Road. JOURNEY CHURCH: A Church of the Nazarene & El Buen Samaritano Iglesia du Nazareno invited the community to our fourth annual Easter in the Park, held at Bay Meadows Park, (beside the Boys & Girls Club) on Acacia Street, Manteca on April 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. All children up to 6th grade are invited to the egg hunt with over 8,000 candy filled eggs and then for the whole family there are events such as jump houses, face painting, egg decorating, cup cake decorating, message booth, balloons, food booth for a low cost and lots of other fun things! (All children must be accompanied by an adult.)

Journey Church and El Buen Samaritano is one church with two languages. We are thrilled to offer services in Spanish as well as English.

Easter Sunday offers an early service in Spanish and English at 8 a.m. Then at 9:15 a.m. there is a continental breakfast followed by Combined Celebrative worship with both congregations in both languages at 10 a.m. Worship teams from both congregations will blend their music and voices for a really great celebration. For those joining us for this worship experience, you are invited to stay for a wonderful pot-luck luncheon on the grounds. These are free events and we’d love to have you join us for this greatest day on the Christian Calendar.

ST. PAUL’S UNITED METHODIST: St. Paul’s United Methodist Church will worship this Sunday at 10 a.m. in the church sanctuary located at 910 East North Street. This Sunday is the Palm Sunday and Pastor Brandon Austin will be preaching a sermon entitled “Parade and Parody” using Luke 19:28 – 40. The service will begin on the church labyrinth area and we will begin worship with the procession of palms.

Lisa Brown will lead the younger children in children’s church and nursery care is provided during the worship services. At 9 a.m. there are classes for all ages.  

Our mid-week Wednesday Nite Lite begins at 6 p.m. with a potluck meal. At 6:30 we begin worship with singing, scripture, a message and prayer led by Pastor Brandon Austin followed by Faith Building and Interactive Learning at 7:00 p.m.
