PRESBYTERIAN: Please join Manteca Presbyterian Church this Sunday for Pastor Dave Warner’s sermon “The Bay of Pigs.” Music Minister Anne Talcott will be leading the Praise Team at the beginning of the service. CALVARY COMMUNITY: Please join us this Sunday at Calvary we continue a new series “Looking in the Mirror: What Do We Do” with Part 2, “We Understand Ourselves.” Biblical references for this week include Ephesians 4:17. 24 and provide encouragement and instruction to “put a new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.” Ephesians 4:24.

Calvary offers four Sunday services at 8:30, 9:45 and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. with children’s programs running at parallel times (6 p.m. Pre-School and Nursery only.) Sign language is offered at the 9:45 a.m. service at the front left side of the Worship Center.

FIRST BAPTIST: Come and join us Sunday begining with Sunday school at 9 a.m. There are classes for all ages. Pastor David Halla has started a new Sunday school class titled, “The World of Error.” Pastor Theo Pope will bring the message tomorrow. Pastor David Skrimager Sr. will lead the music, and Joyce Bennett will continue reading to the children the story about a boy named Christian trying to reach the Celestial City. We have nursery care for children infants to 4 years old.

Our Bible studies are on Sundays at 5 p.m. in the Keenager classroom, studying the Baptist Faith and Message, our College/Career class meet Tuesdays at 6 p.m. at a home, studying Acts, and adults meet on Thursdays at 7 p.m. at a home studying Acts.

The food ministry is on Sundays at 12:15 p.m., after our morning service. Families we help with food can get food every 6 weeks. You need to call the church for an appointment. Due to the number of families in Manteca, we only give food to those who live in Manteca. If you are in need of clothing, please call the church and make an appointment Monday - Friday or Sunday. You may get clothing as often as needed.

We are getting ready to plan our Bible Land Festival, alternative for Halloween. The planning meeting is scheduled for Saturday, August 22 at 10 a.m. Rebecca Bakke is the chairperson for the Bible Land Festival and would like anyone from our church that would like to help in any way to attend this meeting. This is always a great time for children and their families.

ST. PAUL’S UNITED METHODIST
: St. Paul’s United Methodist Church will worship this Sunday at 10 a.m. in the church sanctuary located at 910 East North Street.  This Sunday Pastor Brandon Austin will be preaching a sermon entitled “What Will It Take?” using Luke 18:18-29 & 19:1-10.  Lisa Brown will lead the younger children in children’s church and nursery care is provided in a well-equipped room during the worship services.  At 9:00 a.m. there are classes for all ages.

The mid-week Wednesday Nite Lite begins with a potluck supper at 6 p.m., worship at 6:30 p.m. and classes at 7 p.m.
