LODI - Wine and Roses in Lodi can easily be described as being luxurious, elegant and intimate as a romantic venue in the Central Valley as well as being a desired location for business meetings.

Prior to a dramatic restoration project a generation ago, Wine and Roses had its beginning as a farm house with a half dozen rooms along with a dining room with a sumptuous menu.  It was basically a bed and breakfast back in those early years.

The dining room opened onto a large back porch that doubled as a stage on Friday nights with entertainers playing to guests who gathered at tables on a landscaped yard with its perimeter of gardens.

It was a special night out for couples and their friends in the ‘60s and ‘70s.  Weddings were scheduled later in the weekends with the bride and her attendants gathering in the bride’s room with the woman about to be married often sat in the middle of a king size bed with her train spread out across an appropriate toned quilt.

Today Wine and Roses is much more than the simple farmhouse setting and the landscaped gardens. It is a top notch bed and breakfast hotel with event spaces and day spas and sought after as a wedding location.  Professional pictures can be taken in the modern brides’ room and in the artistically landscaped garden areas.

In a series of reviews one guest wrote on the Wine and Roses website that it was a great place to get away for the weekend.

Another said it was a memorable experience.  She added that from the time they got there to the time they left it was nothing short of perfect sampling wine at their tasting room with wineries in the area being another choice to add to their visit coming from Lodi guest they encountered.

The Cellar Room in the hotel is used for business meeting with catered buffet lunches available with dessert options including chocolate mousse.
